About Dave
Hello,
I’m Dave Marcello, a widower, a father of four and a grandfather of three.
I was raised in Brookfield the 8th of 9 children of first generation Italian American parents. My father and mother were strong influences in my life. I enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, football and all other sports. Like many Green Bay Packer fans, I admired Vince Lombardi’s emphasis on having the will to work hard to achieve success.
I graduated from Brookfield East high school where I was the student representative to the school board and also played football and basketball. I enrolled into UW Madison and worked my way through college selling high value home furnishings at American TV in Madison. I graduated from the School of Education at UW Madison in 1982.
My wife Patty and I were married in 1987 with whom we had four children. After many years in sales, in 1995 I pursued my passion in real estate and marketing with Shorewest realtors. Patty worked in radio sales with WTMJ Milwaukee for almost 20 years. As a family we took many vacations up north and enjoyed our time on the water with family and friends.
In 2009 Patty passed away from a long term fight with cancer. Our two youngest children were in gradeschool and middleschool, with the other two in college. At the time I was on the school board, but resigned to raise our youngest two children.
All four of our children have since graduated from college each pursuing their own careers and passions. Joseph and Jenna both live in Brookfield and Jackie and Jamie both live out of state. Jenna and Juan have two children, a girl and a boy the youngest of which is my namesake. Jackie and her husband Mike have one daughter. Jenna has followed my footsteps and was elected alderman in 2020 in Brookfield.
